Jeffrey Davis received his B.S. degree in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his PhD degree in Physics from Cornell University. He has been a Professor of Physics at San Diego State University since 1977.
Currently he has over 155 publications and about 2/3 of these have BS or MS student co-authors. He is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America and a Fellow of SPIE. He was recently recognized as one of the 50 most prolific authors in Applied Optics as part of their 50th year anniversary celebration.
Research Interests:
My research involves encoding amplitude, phase, and polarization information onto spatial light modulators to explore diffractive optical elements, programmable holograms, and image processing.
