The SDSU Department of Physics welcomes it’s newest faculty faculty member, Dr. Rodrigo Navarro Perez, who is joining us as an assistant professor in nuclear theory. Dr. Navarro Perez is a native of Puebla, Mexico, and got his Ph.D from the University of Granada, Spain. He subsequently did postdocs at Lawrence Livermore National Lab and Ohio University. He specializes in nucleon-nucleon interactions, nuclear reactions, density functional theory and chiral effective field theories, with an emphasis on uncertainty quantification (UQ).
