The SDSU Department of Physics welcomes it’s newest faculty faculty member, Dr. Rodrigo Navarro Perez, who is joining us as an assistant professor in nuclear theory.  Dr. Navarro Perez is a native of Puebla, Mexico, and got his Ph.D from the University of Granada, Spain.  He subsequently did postdocs at Lawrence Livermore National Lab and Ohio University.  He specializes in nucleon-nucleon interactions, nuclear reactions, density functional theory and chiral effective field theories, with an emphasis on uncertainty quantification (UQ).  To find out more about his research, visit his personal web page at https://sites.google.com/sdsu.edu/rnavarroperez
