Event – Physics is involved in Explore SDSU: Open House on this Saturday 21st March 2009. 11am-11.50am in the GMCS building Room 301: Prof. Fridolin Weber presents a lecture on the ‘Life and Science of Albert Einstein’ at a level accessible to the general public.
12pm-4pm in the Physics-Astronomy building Room 215: Prof. Torikachvili presents ‘The Cool World of Cryogenics’. Including: 1- ice cream making and tasting, 2- superconducting levitation, 3- balloon freezing, 4- electrostatic charge separation, 5- other cool stuff.
9am-3pm (all day) there will be Faculty members along with our Society of Physics students on hand at the ‘Physics: Accelerating your Universe’ information stall, as part of the Science and Technology Village.
